Redesign and execution of programming of new machining parts

One of the lines of work in this company is the preparation and machining of parts of the mechanical industry, which, in the case of certain tests, are difficult to meet the requirements of the standard from the point of view of adjustments and measures. For this reason, the analysis of current machining strategies has been replaced by a rethink, with new parameterizations and applications.

Recycling of foundry waste

The aim of this project is to promote and facilitate the storage of waste and scum from the boiler in the vicinity of the workshop.

To this end, it has been necessary to devise, design, plan and manufacture a storage system that facilitates the handling of waste and scum in excess of discharges, creating a safer and more efficient environment for handling waste, ensuring the proper safety of workers and maintaining order and cleanliness, in accordance with risk prevention guidelines, as well as optimizing production times.

The solution has been to build a bucket with a metal structure consistent with the dimensions of the waste. It proposes the introduction of 4 vestiges of the same shape as waste, which is intended to be achieved by refractory cement.

Metallurgical study of special torch directed materials

In this boiler company, at the time of the torch correction of special materials, a study of the metallurgical transformation of the material was to be carried out in order to know the final metalographic characteristics of the material.

To this end, coupons or probetas were prepared and the examination procedure defined, and tests were carried out.

Consequently, knowledge has been acquired of the metallurgical trials of the material, and of the transformation of the properties of the materials.

Reproduction of the entire 3D machine on a paper machine

This company needed a physical element that reflected its product that could be useful for display in customers, markets, etc.

To do this, he needed the manufacture of a complete paper handling machine, but as it had to be portable and intelligible, we thought of the whole reproduction, on a vaina scale and with the help of various materials.

In order to do this, there was a problem of creating scale printing by procedural geometry, that is, automatic climbing of geometry did not work, so many pieces had to be redesigned and redimensioned, bearing in mind that a machine of about 20 meters, had to be reproduced in a meter and a half.

The materials used, some of them 3D printed polymers, some of them metallic.

Design and execution of special baking trays

This company, using perforated sheet metal, needed special trays to bake parts for its casting. These trays needed very precise measurements, and the overall design had to be very tight.

To this end, after studying the needs, we completed the work by designing the pieces, and then executing the defining pieces, which proved to be good in the prototype.

The White Room Organization

In this company has been replanned, starting with the methodology of Lean, the organization of the fluids of workplaces, warehouses and materials of the White Classroom, with the end to achieve the comfort of the workers and the rentability of the process.

For this purpose, has made an analysis of the need and a analysis of the different data. And they have proposed changes based on the data of the work, such as the analysis of the data of the ERP of the company, the classification of ABC, the analysis of fluids, the mensual productions, the productivities, the list of material BOM references...

Diagnosis of energy efficiency of a company

A diagnosis has been made of the energy efficiency of this company, analysing the electricity aspect. To this end, an inventory of receivers, an analysis of consumption and a proposal for improvement have been made.

MEC-DIGEA: Digitalization of challenge-based learning process on ERP platform

The objective of this innovation project has been to digitalize the collaborative learning process based on challenges by sharing experiences between different centres and different professional families, taking into account the perspective of a key agent in employability, which is the company, and on an ERP platform.

During the project, a challenge management model has been developed, which has been called DIGEA Model, based on challenges defined for the development of the project and which has been specified from the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Adjust) management cycle, the experiences in active methodologies of the centres and several recognized models in the Vocational Training system.

In this project CIFP Tolosaldea LHII has participated together with other educational centres of Vocational Training: CIFP IMH LHII (Elgoibar), CIFP MEKA LHII (Elgoibar), Institut Escola del Treball (Barcelona), and also participated the company Mecanizados INDARPAK (Iurreta).

Collaboration in the construction of a collaborative bicycle workshop for the village

Tolosa Town Council, promoted by the Tolosaldea Garatzen Development Agency and the Zumardia Association, intended to install a bicycle workshop in a strategic point of the town's bidegorri, for which it was decided to join two modules located in the garbigune. We were asked to customise the work of this association process, the terrace and the slope, and the work equipment, as the work of the different trades had to be included, and the work had to be very specific and customised.

The geometries of the pieces had to be made to measure and special, which made the work difficult and hence our participation in the design and execution.

The theoretical and practical application of RITE

A project based on the preparation of technical consultancy and the interpretation and organization of the assembly strategy for the staff of a Gipuzkoa company. To this end, the identification of the differences between the new and the old regulations and their theoretical and practical application. In view of the scope of the work, the conditions which the Regulations on Thermal Installations in Buildings (RITE) must meet in order to meet the demand for thermal well-being and hygiene have been implemented in order to achieve adequate construction of heating, air conditioning and sanitary hot water facilities.
